The Carhartt winemaking philosophy echoes that of their farming practices – hands-on, handmade and an acute attention to detail. All of the wines are crafted in a converted barn on the ranch. This close proximity of the winery to the vineyard ensures that the fruit is in its ultimate condition for processing. Each cluster is gently de-stemmed and slightly crushed, and then coaxed through fermentation in small bins. Upon completion of primary fermentation, the wine is pressed non-mechanically in a wooden basket press. The wine is then aged in a combination of new and neutral French oak barrels for up to twenty months before bottling. The wines are not filtered or fined.

We are currently offering three wines produced from our Estate Carhartt Vineyard: a Merlot, a Syrah and a very small amount of “Chase the Blues Away” Rosé.

Carhartt Vineyard also works with a few select growers to produce the other wines we offer to our friends and customers. In current release are: a 2008 Sauvignon Blanc, a 2008 Pinot Noir, a 2007 Sangiovese and a 2008 Zinfandel. In addition to our current win offering we also have limited production wines that include 2007 Four Play and 2008 Petit Sirah. We are dedicated to the craft of wine making and hope that you will enjoy the fruits of our labor and passion.

If you do order wine from us - thank you! But because the product being shipped is wine, there are some restrictions that apply. When your order is received, it must be signed for by an adult. Due to State Laws, we are currently prohibited from shipping to the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota Tennessee and Utah.
