2009 Merlot

Finally, the long awaited release of our estate Merlot! This vintage features a deep, dark wine with concentrated flavors and a beautiful mouthfeel. Notes of spice, black licorice and tobacco leaf are on the nose with the classic flavor profile of dark chocolate, black cherries and spice. After aging in 50% new French oak for two years, and another year in bottle, this Merlot opens up with soft tannins and a toasty finish, ready to drink now or hold for as long as you can. Enjoy with anything spicy, including chiles and curries or grilled peppers stuffed with cheese. Also loves grilled duck, steaks, blackened fish, or veggie burgers – sure to delight even the hard-to-please palate! Wow.
